"Sakuntala's Ring" is a project by the Bayerisches Staatsballett. It is based on the Indian verse drama "Sakuntala" by the poet Kalidasa and is one of the most important sources of material for the ballet classic "La Bayadère". Seven illustrators were commissioned to each visually interpret one act of Kalidasa's "Sakuntala" in their own style. Sato talent Masanobu Hiraoka was part of the artist's selection, creating act 7, with 10 illustrations and a few animations for some of them.

The sound design was created by Renu Hossain (RENU). The project was funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media in the NEUSTART KULTUR program, tanz digital aid program of the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
